4x4SPAIN is not a new company with a freshly built website. It is the 4x4 brand of a group that has been running guided trips since 2007 and operates as a licensed travel agency: CICMA 2478.
Where we come from
It started in 2007 with MTBSPAIN, running guided mountain-bike trips across Spain, France and the rest of Europe: multi-day crossings, small groups, a support vehicle and hotels chosen at the end of each stage. Nearly twenty years of building that kind of trip teaches you things you cannot improvise — which hotel looks after you when you arrive late and covered in mud, which restaurant treats you well on a Tuesday in November, how a breakdown gets fixed in the middle of nowhere — and it is exactly what this needs.
Over the years the group added Tour Privé, for private guided tours across Europe, and now 4x4SPAIN. The vehicle changes; the way we work does not.
Why 4x4SPAIN exists
Because there was a gap in the middle. On one side, clubs and meet-ups: free, technical, for people with modified vehicles and an appetite for mud. On the other, half-day excursions sold through activity platforms. Between the two there was almost nothing: multi-day crossings, taken gently, on easy tracks, sleeping and eating well, for someone with an ordinary SUV who wants the trip put together for them.
That is what we do. You drive — the wheel is yours, this is not a transfer — and we handle the rest.
How we work

A licensed travel agency
We operate under licence CICMA 2478, issued by the Madrid region. That is not a detail: it is what separates a travel agency from someone organising trips privately, and it is what gives you legal cover and liability insurance if something goes wrong. When you are about to pay €2,000 for a trip, it is worth checking who is on the other side.
